Ezequiel Matías Muñoz (born October 8, 1990 ) is an Argentine soccer player who has been with CD Leganés since 2017 .

Career

Club career

Muñoz made his debut for Boca Juniors at the age of 18 in a 1-0 loss to Estudiantes de La Plata . He then suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament , which slowed his career. He celebrated his comeback with a 2-2 win against Argentinos Juniors .

In August 2010, US Palermo announced that they had signed Muñoz for around five million euros. Muñoz signed a five-year contract. He played his first game in the Euro-League against NK Maribor . Muñoz played for palermo until 2015 when he was loaned to Sampdoria Genoa . After only four games, however, he was not signed. Instead, Palermo transferred him to Sampdoria's city rivals CFC Genoa . For this, Muñoz ran for two years and made 49 league appearances. In summer 2017 he switched to CD Leganés .

National team

Diego Maradona called him to the Argentine national team for a friendly against Panama . However, he had to sit out because of his injury.
