Youssef En-Nesyri ( Arabic يوسف النصيري, DMG Yūsuf an-Nuṣairī ; * June 1, 1997 in Fez ) is a Moroccan football player who plays as a striker for the Spanish club Sevilla FC .

Club career

Málaga CF

After starting his youth career at the Mohammed VI Football Academy , he moved to Malaga FC in 2015 for a transfer fee of € 125,000 . Originally assigned to the youth team, he made his debut for the second team on April 16, 2016, scoring the last goal in a 3-1 win for the Tercera División against FC Guadix . He scored goals in the following three games in a row against CD Huétor Tájar , River Melilla CF and FC Vilafranca and became a permanent player for the reserve team, which narrowly missed promotion to Segunda Division B.

On July 8, 2016, En-Nesyri was added to the squad of the professional team, then trained by Juande Ramos .

On August 23, 2016, En-Nesyri agreed to a contract extension until 2020 after six goals in the pre-season. He made his debut in professional football in the Primera División three days later when he came on for Keko in a 2-2 draw against Espanyol Barcelona .

En-Nesyri scored his first professional goal on September 21, 2016, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 home win over SD Eibar after being substituted on. He scored four goals in 25 league games during the 2017/18 season, but this could not prevent his team's relegation.

CD Leganés

On August 17, 2018, En-Nesyri signed a five-year contract with CD Leganés, which had just been promoted to the top division . The transfer fee was € 6 million. In February 2019, he scored a hat trick in a game against Real Betis Sevilla , becoming the first Leganés player to do so in the top division.

Sevilla FC

On January 16, 2020, Sevilla FC signed En-Nesyri from Leganés for a transfer fee of € 20 million. He signed a contract until 2025. He made his debut on January 18, 2020 in an away game against Real Madrid .

National team

After the representation of the U-20 Morocco En Nesyri was coached on August 22, 2016 Hervé Renard for friendly matches against Albania and Sao Tome and Principe in the squad of the A-team appointed. He made his debut nine days later against Albania and was in the starting XI in the 0-0 at Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër . He was part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup squad and scored 2-1 in the 2-2 group stage draw with Spain after being substituted on.
