Dimitris Siovas ( Greek Δημήτρης Σιόβας , born September 16, 1988 in Drama ) is a Greek football player who is currently under contract with the Spanish first division club CD Leganés . He plays in defensive midfield and can also be used in central defense .
Career
society
Siovas began his career as a junior at AO Xanthi . In 2008, the first division club Panionios Athens secured the rights to the young defensive player. On January 3, 2009 Siovas made his debut in the first division game against the AO Xanthi. In the second half of the 2008/09 season Siovas was loaned to the second division club Ionikos Nikea . He returned in summer 2009 and soon became a regular player.
Olympiacos Piraeus signed the international in summer 2012.
After four years and two goals in 68 games for the Greeks , he went to Spain in the Primera División for CD Leganés . So far he has made 92 games and 3 goals there.
National team
In 2007, Dimitris Siovas made his international debut for the Greek U-19 national team. Due to its good performance at Panionios Athens, the Greek national coach appointed Fernando Santos the player in August 2012 in the senior team . Siovas ran on August 15, 2012 in the friendly against Norway for the first time as a national team player.
