Kenneth Josiah Omeruo (born October 17, 1993 in Abia ) is a Nigerian football player .
Career
society
Omeruo learned to play football in the youth department of Standard Liège and moved to English club Chelsea in 2012 . From this he was loaned to ADO Den Haag in the 2012/13 season and to Middlesbrough FC in the 2014/15 season.
For the 2015/16 season, his club loaned him to Kasımpaşa Istanbul in the Turkish Süper Lig . In the summer transfer period of 2016 he was loaned to another Turkish first division club with Alanyaspor . He returned to Kasımpaşa on loan in the summer of 2017.
National team
Omeruo started his national team career in 2009 with a commitment for the Nigerian U-17 national team .
Omeruo made his debut in 2011 as part of the 2011 U-20 World Cup for the Nigerian U-20 national team and made it to the quarter-finals with his team.
Since 2013 he has played for the Nigerian national team , with which he won the Africa Cup in the same year . At the 2014 World Cup , he played in every Nigerian game and failed with the team in the second round to France . He was also part of the Nigerian squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where Nigeria was eliminated as third in Group D in the group stage. Omeruo played in the win against Iceland and the defeat Argentina .
