Carlheinz Gräter

Carlheinz Gräter , also Karlheinz Gräter and Friedrich von Edelfels (born August 4, 1937 in Bad Mergentheim ) is a German journalist , freelance writer and author of publications on Franconian and Hohenlohe regional studies.

life and work

Carlheinz Gräter studied history and literature in Würzburg , Heidelberg and Göttingen . After completing his doctorate , he worked as a newspaper editor before he began to work as a freelance writer. He is the author and editor of nearly 100 book publications. He was and is also an employee of the BR and the SWR .

Jürgen Wohlfarth from TRAUM-A-LAND wrote about him that “... with his extremely rich literature he made a significant contribution to the deaeration of Taub Franconian historiography from the old influence of the blood and soil writers, who praised the local plaice, [and has] new ones instead attentive tones ... [introduced]. "

Carlheinz Gräter was named for his oeuvre a. a. awarded the culture prize of the Frankenbund . In 2013 the regional group Sprachkultur Mainfranken of the Association of German Language awarded him the Sprachbewahrerpreis 2013 . On September 30, 2013, the program was in a ceremony of District Administrator Reinhard Frank the honorary prize of the Main-Tauber District awarded.

He lives in Bad Mergentheim.
