Reinhard Frank (* 1955 ) is a German CDU local politician . From January 1997 to January 2005 he was Lord Mayor of the large district town of Göppingen and has been District Administrator of the Main-Tauber District since June 1, 2005 .

From September 1975 to November 1977 Frank graduated from the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Kehl with a degree in administration . From September 1977 to April 1980 he was personal advisor to the Lord Mayor of Göppingen. From April 1980 to July 1987 he studied law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . He then worked from September 1987 to February 1991 as legal and social affairs department at the Rems-Murr-Kreis district office. From February to September 1991 Frank was an advisor for federal and European affairs at the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg . From September 1991 to January 1997, as mayor of the large district town of Ettlingen, he was responsible for public utilities , building law , law and order and social issues .

After his election as Lord Mayor of the major district town of Göppingen in 1996, he held this office from January 1997 to January 2005. In the elections on October 24, 2004, Frank was defeated in the first ballot by his opponent Guido Till from the SPD . From February to May 2005 he worked as a lawyer in the law firm Frank & Pfeiffer, Dr. Zimmermann - lawyers and auditors active in Göppingen.

On 20 April 2005 Reinhard Frank was from the council elected the Main-Tauber district to district and appointed on 1 June of 2005. In the election on March 20, 2013, he was confirmed in office for a further eight years. On August 10, 2020, Reinhard Frank announced at a press conference in the district office that he would not run for office again in the upcoming district election in the Main-Tauber district in 2021.

Frank lives in Tauberbischofsheim , is married and has four children.
