Wolfgang Bachofer
Wolfgang Bruno Karl Bachofer (born May 31, 1928 in Berlin ; † July 20, 2003 ) was a German specialist in German .
Life
After his doctorate ( The vocabulary of the "Vorauer Bücher Moses". Preparatory work for an edition ) on July 5, 1961 in Hamburg , he taught there from 1977 to 1990 as a professor of German linguistics, older German literature and from 1982 headed the Middle High German department Dictionary. From 1978 to 1981 he was Vice President of the University of Hamburg. After his retirement in 1990 in Hamburg, he took over a professorship in 1994/1995 and a visiting professorship at the University of Veszprém in 1996/1997 , which awarded him an honorary doctorate .
