Wolfgang Barth (dentist)

Wolfgang Barth (born July 26, 1952 in Marburg ) is a German dentist and as a medical officer (dentist) with the rank of admiralty retired . D. In his last assignment he was stage manager dentistry in the German Armed Forces from June 2006 to March 2015 .

Life

Barth joined the Navy in July 1972 after graduating from high school as an officer candidate and completed training with Crew  VII / 72 until he was admitted as a medical officer candidate . From October 1974 to December 1979 he studied dentistry at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen .

As a dentist, he then headed the dental station in the medical area of Heimatschutzbrigade 55 in Böblingen . In 1982 he received his doctorate, initially switched to the army in 1983 and then worked as a department head at the military sector dentist in the military sector command V in Stuttgart . In 1985 he was briefly employed by the Bundeswehr stage manager dentistry in the old Bundeswehr medical office in Bonn-Beuel, before he was transferred to the Army Office in Cologne , where he was employed as a department head at the chief dentist of the army.

In 1987 he became a consultant for InSan II 2 in the Federal Ministry of Defense , in 1990 he became a military dentist for the Division and Military Command VIII in Neubrandenburg . With the employment as chief dentist of the Navy in the naval office in 1993 a change of the armed forces back to the Navy was again connected. In 2000 he became chief dentist of the Central Medical Services of the Bundeswehr (ZSanDBw) and Central Military Services (ZMilDBw) and, following the restructuring of the Bundeswehr and the medical service and the reorganization of the Medical Office of the Bundeswehr in Munich in 2001, initially Head of Division VI.1.

From 2002 to 2005 was head of the Barth Institute for Wehrmedizinalstatistik and reporting in Andernach and then Head of Controlling in the Medical Forces Command in Koblenz , before he became the most senior dentist of the Bundeswehr in June of 2006.

The retirement took place in March 2015; his successor is fleet doctor Helfried Bieber.
