Wolfgang Griese (born May 18, 1948 in Diedrichshagen ) is a German politician ( SED , PDS and Die Linke ). From 2008 to 2011 he was a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament .

Griese graduated from high school and completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer in 1966. That year he joined the SED. From 1966 to 1971 he studied at the University of Architecture and Construction in Weimar . After graduating, he started working as a research assistant at his university. A year later he became site manager at the housing combine in Schwerin. In 1974 he became deputy urban planning director for production at the Schwerin municipal building authority. From 1977 to 1994 he was a member of the district council of the Sternberg district . In 1979 he became the district building director of the Sternberg district and in 1987 he became the first deputy of the district building director of the Schwerin district . He later took on this post. After the turnaround and the renaming of the SED, Griese became a member of the PDS and became city representative of the city of Warin . In 1990 he became sales manager of a Hamburg housing construction company, and from 2002 he took early retirement due to disability. After Angelika Gramkow was elected Lord Mayor of Schwerin and the associated withdrawal from the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Griese moved up on November 1, 2008.
