Wolfgang Grotheer

Wolfgang Grotheer (born May 16, 1949 in Bremen ) is a Bremen politician ( SPD ) and he was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

education and profession

Grotheer studied law and graduated in 1977 with the state examination. In 1977 he became an assessor for the Senator for Justice and Constitution in the department responsible for the penal system. From 1979 he was a public prosecutor , then a judge at the Bremerhaven District Court , the Bremen District Court and finally the Rostock District and Regional Court . Since 1995 he has been the presiding judge of a chamber for commercial matters and a civil chamber at the Bremen Regional Court . Grotheer is Vice President of the Regional Court. Since 2015 he has been a judge at the State Court of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .

politics

Grotheer has been a member of the SPD since 1971 and was initially involved with the Jusos . He later became chairman of the SPD local association Schwachhausen-Nord and spokesman for the Working Group of Social Democratic Lawyers (ASJ). Grotheer has been chairman of the SPD sub-district Bremen-Ost since 1993 and was chairman of the SPD sub-district Bremen Stadt from 1996 to 2004. He is a member of the state executive committee of the Bremen SPD .

From June 12, 2003 to January 8, 2008, Grotheer was a member of Bremen's citizenship. Most recently he was a member of the Committee for Port Affairs, the Operations Committee for Legal Services, the Temporary Committee “Review of an amendment to the electoral law in the State of Bremen”, the Temporary Committee under Article 125 of the State Constitution, the Parliamentary Control Commission, the Legal, Judge Election and the Constitutional and Rules of Procedure committee and also the electoral examination court. Grotheer was a member of the deputations for social affairs, youth, senior citizens and the integration of foreigners. He resigned his mandate on January 8, 2008 for professional reasons.

His wife Antje has been a citizen since 2011.
