Wolfgang Habich

Wolfgang Habich (born June 17, 1944 ) is a former German soccer player . The offensive player was used at Alemannia Aachen five times in the 1969/70 and 1970/71 rounds of the Bundesliga . In the then second-rate Regionalliga West , he completed ten games for the "Colorado beetles" in 1970/71 and scored one goal.

career

The striker, who grew up in the youth of TuS Warstein, belonged to his home club until 1967. For the 1967/68 round he joined the amateur team of Bundesliga club Alemannia Aachen. Through his assignments in the regional selection of the Middle Rhine in the country cup in October and November 1967, he drew the attention of the DFB observers to himself and was included in the squad of the amateur national team in the spring of 1968 . Habich was substituted on March 20 and May 1, 1968, respectively, at the international matches against Austria and Italy in the attack of the DFB amateurs on the left wing.

When the "Tivoli-Elf" surprisingly won the runner-up in the Bundesliga in the 1968/69 season, the attacker was on matchday 14, November 9, 1968, by coach Michael Pfeiffer in the 75th minute for Hans-Josef Kapellmann Substituted in the 0-1 home defeat against Borussia Dortmund. Under the new coach Georg Stollenwerk , Habich did not appear in the first half of the 1969/70 season. Together with Werner Scholz (goal), Rolf Pawellek , Erwin Hermandung , Josef Thelen , Christoph Walter , Heinz Kulik , Karl-Heinz Bechmann , Werner Tenbruck , Erwin Hoffmann and Herbert Gronen , he ensured the fifth double point win of the round.

In the football regional league West in the 1970/71 season under the coaches Hermann Lindemann and Volker Kottmann ten league games with one goal - in the 4-0 home win on September 27, 1970 against Eintracht Gelsenkirchen - were added. A round at Bonner SC followed in 1971/72 , before Habich rejoined his hometown club TuS Warstein in 1972. Professionally, he worked as the head of an insurance agency.
