Wolfgang Kuhn (biologist)

Wolfgang Kuhn (born May 2, 1928 in Friedberg ; † January 31, 2001 in Homburg ) was a German biologist and evolutionist creationist .

Life

Wolfgang Kuhn was first a worker. From 1948 to 1954 he studied botany , zoology , chemistry , geography and philosophy at the University of Frankfurt am Main . He then worked as a lecturer at the universities of teacher education in Trier , Koblenz and Saarbrücken . From 1978 to 1993 he was Professor of Biology at Saarbrücken University . He also worked for many years as a lecturer at the inter-diocesan study house St. Lambert in Lantershofen .

Journalistic activity

Kuhn supported the concept of intelligent design . He has acted as a presenter for various television and radio programs. He also published school and youth books and essays on borderline issues between biology and theology , in which he questioned academic views of biology and claimed that Darwin's theories were refuted. He advocated belief in creation, but did not assume that God created the world in six days, as it is in the Bible, but adopted the scientifically generally accepted age of life and the earth of several billion years (long-term creationism).
