Wolfgang Leinemann

Wolfgang Leinemann (born August 16, 1936 in Kassel ; † January 23, 2016 ) was a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Labor Court .

Live and act

Leinemann studied law at the universities of Frankfurt am Main , Berlin and Marburg and passed his first state examination in law in 1961. After his second state exam in 1966 and a university assistant professor Leinemann was established in 1968 by the University with the civil work The concept of freedom under Section 823 para. 1 BGB Dr. iur. PhD. He then held a teaching position at the University of Marburg, before joining the state service of the State of Hesse in 1971 as a senior councilor at the Hessian State Chancellery . In 1973 he switched to the justice service of the State of Hesse and was appointed as a judge at the Wiesbaden Labor Court . On April 1, 1978, Leinemann was appointed judge at the Federal Labor Court , where he was first assigned to the Sixth and later to the Eighth Senate. From May 15, 1991 until his retirement in August 2001, Leinemann was Chairman of the Ninth Senate of the Federal Labor Court and, as such, shaped the jurisprudence on works constitution law and vacation law with fundamental decisions .

In addition, Leinemann was co-editor and co-author of a commentary on vacation law, a collection of decisions on the Temporary Employment Act and a commentary on the Vocational Training Act. In addition, he had been teaching at the TU Braunschweig since 1981 , which is why he was appointed honorary professor in 1988. From 1990 he also held a teaching position at the University of Kaiserslautern .
