Wolfgang Popp (Germanist)

Wolfgang Popp (* 3. June 1935 in Altenmuhr ; † 5. May 2017 in Siegen ) was a German Germanist and literary scholar .

Act

Popp worked as a professor for German studies at the University of Siegen . Together with Gerhard Härle and Marita Keilson-Lauritz , Dirck Linck and Wolfram Setz, he published the magazine Forum Homosexualität und Literatur , which was discontinued in 2007. The magazine was a periodical of the research focus on homosexuality and literature in the department of linguistics and literary studies at the University of Siegen. He also published the loose-leaf collection Lexicon homosexual fiction . After his retirement, Popp worked as a project manager in the Siegen Center for Peace Culture (ZFK).
