Wolfgang Prechtl

Wolfgang Prechtl (born September 10, 1883 in Trausnitz , † August 15, 1964 in Pattendorf ) was a German clergyman and politician.

Career

Prechtl was ordained a priest in 1907. From 1920 he was a professor for Catholic religious teaching in Regensburg and at the same time President of the Catholic journeyman's associations in the diocese of Regensburg. For the Bavarian People's Party he was a member of the Regensburg City Council from 1924 to 1933 and of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1928 to 1933 .

In 1945 he became a member of the CSU and was from 1945 to 1958 District Administrator of the district Rottenburg adLaaber . In 1946 he was a member of the Advisory State Committee and the State Constituent Assembly and from December 1946 to November 1950 he was again a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
