Wolfgang Schollmeyer

Wolfgang Schollmeyer (born December 31, 1933 in Celle ; † October 25, 2014 ) was a German lawyer , administrative officer and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Schollmeyer studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1963, entered the service of the State of Lower Saxony in 1965 and had worked as a transport and press officer for the district president in Hanover since 1968/69 . In 1973 he moved to the administration of the German Bundestag . Here he acted u. a. as a senior civil servant at the Office of the Armed Forces Commissioner and head of the “Scientific Specialist Service” subdivision (from 2006 Scientific Services of the German Bundestag ). In 1994 he resigned from the public service as a ministerial director. From 1995 he ran his own legal practice in Berlin-Kreuzberg .

Schollmeyer had been a member of the SPD since 1962. He had been a councilor for the city of Celle since 1964 and became a senator there in 1965 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1972. He was drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list.
