Wolfgang Stehmer

Wolfgang Stehmer (born May 5, 1951 in Philippsburg ) is a Baden-Württemberg politician of the SPD and former member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament . He represented the constituency of Vaihingen an der Enz .

education and profession

After attending elementary school in Philippsburg concluded Wolfgang Stehmer the commercial college in Bruchsal with the intermediate certificate from. He completed an apprenticeship as a senior administrative service, which he completed in 1971.

From 1971 to 1978 he worked at the Karlsruhe district office and then until 1992 at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior . In 1988 he completed further training as a business economist (VWA) at the Administration and Business Academy .

From 1992 to 2006 he worked in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics . There he mainly dealt with housing construction, trade law and chimney sweep law. He wrote several specialist books (most recently in 2007: sample sweeping and inspection regulations - manual for chimney sweeps ).

Since the work in the Ministry of Economic Affairs is incompatible with that of a member of the parliament, he decided in 2006 for the state parliament mandate. In the state elections in March 2011, he was not re-elected.

Political activity

Wolfgang Stehmer joined the SPD in 1970. Since 1982 he has been a member of the local association board in Hemmingen , most of which as first chairman. In 1984, Wolfgang Stehmer was elected to the Hemmingen municipal council for the first time and was re-elected five times.

From 1999 to 2010 he was district chairman of the Ludwigsburg district association .

Since 2004 he has been a regional councilor of the regional assembly of the Stuttgart Region Association and a member of the transport committee.

He was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the duration of the 14th electoral term (2006 to 2011). There he was a member of the Environment Committee and the Europe Committee.

Family and private

Wolfgang Stehmer is Protestant, married and the father of three children. He grew up in Philippsburg in the Karlsruhe district. He has lived in Hemmingen with his family since 1979 .

He is the district chairman of the Ludwigsburg workers' welfare organization.
