Wolfgang Uhrig

Wolfgang Uhrig (born April 21, 1940 in Darmstadt ) is a German sports journalist and book author. He was editor- in- chief at kicker for 16 years .

Life

Uhrig worked for Bunte and Quick , among others , before he started playing football . As a sports journalist, he reported 21 times from the Olympic Games (ten times in summer, eleven times in winter), most recently on the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. From 1988 to 2004 he was editor-in-chief at Kicker together with Rainer Holzschuh . Uhrig is the author of several books on the Olympic Games and wrote a book about Rosi Mittermaier and Christian Neureuther .

Private

Uhrig lives in Baldham near Munich .
