Wolfgang Undaunted

Wolfgang Unverzagt (* around 1535; † March 31, 1605 in Vienna ) was President of the Court Chamber in Vienna.

Wolfgang was the son of Georg Unverzagt (* 1515; † 1598). Under Maximilian II and his successor Rudolf II , he was Reichshofratsekretär, rose to imperial councilor and treasurer and from 1600 headed the central financial authority of the monarchy as court chamber president .

Wolfgang Unverzagt was accepted into the Lower Austrian gentry in 1602 and is therefore considered the founder of the von Unverzagt family (noble family ). From 1574 he was master of Petronell and Regelsbrunn, from 1589 of Ebenfurth . Wolfgang Unverzagt was also Mr. von Retz .

He was buried in the Schottenkirche in Vienna .
