Wolfgang Vogl

Wolfgang Vogl (born June 22, 1966 in Straubing ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After graduating from the Anton-Bruckner-Gymnasium Straubing in 1986, he studied theology ( pre-diploma ) at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Regensburg from 1986 to 1988 and from 1988 to 1991 ( bachelor's degree ) at the Facoltà di Teologia of the Pontificia Università Gregoriana in Rome . From 1988 to 1991 he was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . From 1991 to 1992 he completed the pastoral course in the diocese of Regensburg . After being ordained a priest on October 10, 1992 in Sant'Ignazio di Loyola in Campo Marzio , he studied Church History ( Licenza ) at the Facoltà di Storia Ecclesiastica of the Pontificia Università Gregoriana in Rome from 1992 to 1994 . From 1994 to 1997 he was chaplain at St. Anton (Regensburg) . From 1997 to 2000 he studied Spiritual Theology (Licenza complementare and Doctorate ) at the Institutum Spiritualitatis of the Pontificia Università Gregoriana in Rome. From 2000 to 2005 he was director of the diocesan office "Professions of the Church" and the papal work for spiritual professions as well as episcopal representative for the later called in the diocese of Regensburg and parish vicar at St. Anton in Regensburg. From 2003 to 2005 he was cathedral vicar in Regensburg. From 2004 to 2005 he headed the retreat office of the diocese of Regensburg. From 2005 to 2013 he was the parish administrator in Konnersreuth . Since March 2017 he has been teaching as professor for theology of spiritual life at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Augsburg .
