Wolfgang Weigl
Wolfgang Weigl (* 1978 in Marktoberdorf ) is a German film editor and filmmaker .
Live and act
Wolfgang Weigl edited his first films in the projection room of the local cinema in Türkheim, where he operated the film projector for several years . After internships in the areas of lighting and editing , he was able to make a name for himself as Peter Przygodda’s assistant editor for films such as Tattoo und Eyelid , before taking over the editing of Stefan Sarazin's feature film Nitschewo . Since then, Wolfgang Weigl has edited numerous feature and documentary films . Among other things, he also stood by Peter Przygodda as co-editor on the music documentations Música Cubana and Furtwänglers Liebe . After several music videos and his own short films, Wolfgang Weigl founded the film production company Piratenfilm together with Toby Bräuhauser and Robert Vervloet in 2004 , with which he made his feature film debut Blindlings , which premiered at the Munich Film Festival 2009 and was nominated in four categories for the German Film Prize.
Wolfgang Weigl lives in Munich and Winterthur.
