Wolfram Buchwitz

Wolfram Buchwitz (* 1980 in Münster ) is a German law scholar and university professor .

Life

From 2000 to 2005 he studied law at the University of Münster (2005: First State Examination in Law ( OLG Hamm )). In 2006 he completed a graduate degree (Corso di alta formazione in diritto romano) at the University of La Sapienza . From 2006 to 2010 he was a doctoral candidate and research assistant at the University of Bonn ( Martin Josef Schermaier ). In 2008 and 2010 he conducted research at the Centro di Studi e Ricerche sui Diritti Antichi (CEDANT) at the Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori . From 2010 to 2012 he completed his legal clerkship at Cologne Higher Regional Court , second state examination in law. After receiving his doctorate in 2011 from the Faculty of Law and Political Science in Bonn , he was a research assistant and academic advisor from 2012 to 2017 . Z. at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Martin Josef Schermaier). From 2013 to 2017 he worked part-time as a lawyer in the law firm DLA Piper UK LLP, Cologne, in the litigation / arbitration area. After receiving his habilitation in 2017 from the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, granting the venia legendi for civil law, Roman law, modern private law history and civil procedural law, he represented the chair for civil law and German legal history in the 2017 summer semester Muenster. In the 2017/2018 winter semester he represented the Chair of Civil Law, Roman Law and Historical Comparative Law at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg . In March 2018 he was appointed university professor in Würzburg . In September 2019 he was appointed judge at the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court in the second main office.
