Wolfsberg is a village in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen and a district of the municipality of Steinach in the district Agendorf .

The village is located about two kilometers northeast of the main town Steinach, east of federal road 20 and west of county road SR 68 , the former B 20 , on a ridge above the Kinsach -Moos. Until the regional reform in Bavaria , it was part of the former municipality of Agendorf in the Straubing district .

history

The place is a settlement of recent history. In the first recording from the period between 1808 and 1864, Wolfsberg is the field name of an unpopulated, wooded ridge through which the main road from Straubing to Cham runs. In the topographic map from 1955, the place is shown and designated as a settlement. The first record in the register of the diocese of Regensburg takes place in 1913. Wolfsberg is a hamlet of the cath. Parish named Steinach, with five houses and 28 souls. The location is not yet shown in the 1961 census report. In the 1970 census, the place is named as a hamlet of the municipality Agendorf and the population is given as 30, the 1987 census determined 39 inhabitants.
