Wolha Hapejewa ( Belarusian Вольга Гапеева ; * 1982 in Minsk ) is a Belarusian writer , poet, translator and linguist .

Life

In 2004 she graduated from the Minsk State Linguistic University specializing in "Foreign Languages ​​and Literature" with English, German and French and graduated in 2005 with a master's degree. She completed another master's degree in “Gender Studies” in Vilnius , Lithuania at EHU-International. In 2012 she obtained a Ph.D. at the Minsk Linguistic University in the field of Comparative Linguistics .

Create

Volha Hapiejeva writes poetry, prose and dramas. She translates from several languages ​​(German, English, Chinese, Japanese, Ukrainian, Latvian). Her work The Collector (original Калекцыянэр ) was listed as a piece in the Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature at the Festival Тры днi (German Three Days ) . In October 2006 the same play was performed in Poland , Lubin at the international theater festival Konfrontacje Teatralne in the project Dramat Nieobecny at the readings of the Belarusian dramaturgy. She studies the phenomenon of physical change and self-harm . Further research topics are gender issues in culture and literature and the philosophy of language. Volha Hapiejeva is a member of the Belarusian PEN Center and the Belarusian Independent Writers' Association. Her poems have been translated into German, English, Macedonian, Czech, Lithuanian and Polish.
