Volodymyr Ivanovich Petrenko (born March 1, 1944 Kyjliw , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian engineer, politician and company manager.

Life

Volodymyr Petrenko studied engineering in 1971 at the Kiev University of Cars and Roads , specializing in "Bridges and traffic tunnels". Petrenko was general director of the Kievmetrostroy joint stock company from March 1987 to 1994 and has been its chairman since 1994. Since February 1992 he has also been President of the Ukrainian State Corporation for the Construction of Underground Railways and Tunnels ( Ukrmetrotunelbud ).

In addition, he was a member of the Kiev City Council from 1987 to 1994 and from 2006 to 2008, a member of the Ukrainian Academy of Civil Engineering since 1996 and a doctorate in natural sciences since 2000. Petrenko is the author of over 30 scientific papers, including 4 patents.
