The Worblental is a valley in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .
geography
The valley is named after the Worble brook . Localities in Worblental are: Richigen , Worb , Vechigen , Boll-Sinneringen, Stettlen , Deisswil, Bolligen and Ittigen . The Worblen and Aare valleys are separated by the Dentenberg . To the north, the Worblental is flanked by the Worbberg and Bantiger . The watershed between the Hürnberg and the Änggist near Schlosswil separates the Worblental from the Biglental and the Kiesental , the beginning of the Emmental . The source of the Richigenbach is located below Schlosswil and the Bächu rises at Trimstein , both bodies of water unite with the Enggisteinbach, which comes from Biglen, and the Lindentalbach below Worb.
geology
The conspicuous hills at the southern foot of the Bantiger between Bolligen and Stettlen are probably remnants of the central moraine of the Ice Age Rhone and Aare glaciers, which met and ended here.
economy
While various businesses in the valley have always used hydropower, agriculture in the lower part is mainly limited to the higher areas. The sunny slopes are almost completely covered with houses.
Development
The narrow valley exit between Eyfeld and Altikofen near Worblaufen is bridged by several traffic routes. The A1 motorway , a pedestrian and bicycle path and the SBB line Bern-Zurich , and halfway up the canton road, the RBS line crosses in a very small space . The valley is accessible via the RBS line Bern – Worblaufen – Worb. The wastewater of the municipalities as well as the industrial and commercial enterprises is treated in the WWTP Worblental in Worblaufen .
