The Lipton Tea 250 is a NASCAR Nationwide Series car race held at Richmond International Raceway . It is the first of two races on this circuit. The other is the Emerson Radio 250 .

In the first three years from 1982 to 1984 the race ran over a distance of 150 laps, which corresponds to 181 km. After that, it was not held until 1990, but has been on the Nationwide Series calendar every year since then. Initially, the race distance was extended to 200 laps and 241.4 km and since 1994 it has been 250 laps, which corresponds to around 301.75 km. It was originally held at the end of February or the beginning of March, before it was initially moved to the beginning of June in 1998, but was moved to the beginning of May a year later.
