Wu Shaotong (born December 13, 1998 ) is a Chinese snowboarder . She starts in the halfpipe discipline .
Career
Wu started internationally for the first time at the Junior World Championships 2015 in Yabuli . There she achieved tenth place. The following year she was fifth in the halfpipe at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Oslo . She made her debut in the Snowboard World Cup in December 2016 in Copper Mountain , which she finished in 19th place. She finished 15th at the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada and 12th at the 2019 Snowboard World Championships in Park City . In the 2018/19 season, she finished in the top ten three times in the World Cup, taking 21st place in the Freestyle World Cup and ninth place in the Halfpipe World Cup. She won the bronze medal at the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk . In the following season she reached four top ten finishes, including two fourth places, 14th place in the Freestyle World Cup and fifth place in the Halfpipe World Cup. She finished seventh at the 2020 Winter X Games in Aspen and sixth at the 2020 Burton US Open in Vail .
