Wulf Jürgen von Ahlefeldt

Wulf Jürgen von Ahlefeldt († 1618 ) was the lord of the noble estates of Aschau , Schwensby and Wulfshagen .

Life

He was the youngest son of the noble landlord Jürgen von Ahlefeldt († 1546) and his wife Catharine nee. von Breide, daughter of Otto Povlsen Breide († 1544), lord of Søbygaard. His wife was Magdalene, a née von Rumohr (1559–1638), daughter of Asmus von Rumohr (1520–1590), master of Gut Roest . From this marriage there were three children. Wulf Jürgen von Ahlefeldt was the brother of Sievert von Ahlefeldt and lived mainly on his Schwensby estate near Sörup, where he was a co-founder of the altar of St. Mary's Church in 1603 . This altar still bears the arms of the Ahlefeldts and the names WVLF VAN ANFELD (Wulf von Ahlefeldt) and MALEN VAN ANFELD (Magdalene von Ahlefeldt) . In 1580 von Ahlefeldt was present at the enfeoffment of Duke Adolf I of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf by King Frederick II of Denmark and Norway and in 1592 at the homage of the estates for the Archbishop of Bremen and Duke of Gottorf Johann Adolf (1575– 1616). He was also present at the homage to King Christian IV of Denmark and Norway (1577–1648) in 1593 in Flensburg . Wulf Jürgen von Ahlefeldt died in 1618 and was buried in the Nikolaikirche in Flensburg.
