Wulff from Ahlefeldt (Haselau)

Wulff von Ahlefeldt († 1572 ) in Hamburg was the heir of Haselau and the Kaden estate .

Life

He was the son of Friedrich von Ahlefeldt and Catharina von Ahlefeldt , born von Pogwisch . After the death of his parents in 1551 he inherited Haselau, the northern part of the Haseldorfer Marsch and the Kaden estate. His first wife was Emerentia von Rantzau , the daughter of Schack von Rantzau, Herr auf Rantzau and Panker and Barbara von Rantzau from the Bülk family . This marriage produced five children. In 1565 he married Ollegard von Buchwaldt , a daughter of Jasper von Buchwald, Herr auf Borstel and Sierhagen and Anna von Rantzau-Kletkamp. Together they had five children, one of whomMarquard von Ahlefeldt was. Wulff von Ahlefeldt died in 1572 as a result of a fall on his horse and was buried in the St. Dreikönigskirche in Haselau .

His widow built the church, the pastorate, the sexton's apartment and the hereditary burial from scratch in 1572 and 1573 in Haselau and died in November 1618 at Gut Kaden at the age of 71.
