Friedrich von Ahlefeldt (Haseldorf)

Friedrich von Ahlefeldt († 1543 ) was lord of Haseldorf , Haselau , on Gut Seestermühe and Gut Seegaard near Kliplev and royal councilor.

Life

He was the eldest son of Hans von Ahlefeldt and Adelheit von Bölow from the house of Marnitz. He owned the Haseldorf estate, Haselau with the Haseldorfer Marsch , the Seestermühe estate with the Seestermüher Marsch and the Seegaard estate near Kliplev . His wife was Catharina von Ahlefeldt (born von Pogwisch) a daughter of Benedikt (Bendix) von Pogwisch († in the battle of Hemmingstedt ). With her he had four children among them were Benedikt von Ahlefeldt , Hans von Ahlefeldt and Wulff von Ahlefeldt .

He experienced the destruction of the Bishorster church in the All Saints flood in 1532 and parish the Bishorster citizens to Haseldorf. As a consequence , he promoted important dike construction measures in the Haseldorfer Marsch. During the "Count Feud" in 1533/34 a troop of Landsknechte Haselau attacked and Friedrich used the destruction of the village as an occasion to close the church and to dissolve the community and to incorporate it into Haseldorf. In 1538 he was royal councilor in the wake of King Christian III. from Denmark and Norway when this was paid homage in the city of Hamburg . He died in 1543.
