Canyon Cop is a 1991 American thriller directed by Errol Morris .
action
The young police officer Jim Chee is transferred to a reservation inhabited by Navajo and Hopi Indians. There he is faced with several mysterious cases. A man's mutilated corpse is found in the desert, a trading post is robbed, and a plane with two drug lords on board crashes. Chee, himself a Navajo, determines the connections and has to deal with the prejudices and various interests of his cop colleagues, the FBI, the divided Indian tribes and their superstitions. However, he manages to uncover the background to the crimes.
