action

Gabriel leaves her life and her home in Grenada behind in 1950 and embarks on a long voyage by ship to England, where she wants to become a pilot. However, due to a misunderstanding, she has to share her ship's cabin with the somewhat mysterious Scotsman Duncan Stewart. Outwardly, in order not to endanger Gabriel's reputation, he pretends to be her husband. Gabriel begins to fall in love with the mysterious fellow traveler, who not only seems to be an art forger, but also has a lot to hide. Another passenger charges him with the murder of his wife and accuses him of stealing a valuable painting from his possession. Gabriel is torn between her feelings for Stewart and the allegations made against him.

criticism

"Emotionally staged melodrama with comedic approaches, in which the motif of flying is a metaphor for the power of love that gives wings."
