The Wyja ( Russian Выя ) is a left tributary of the Pinega in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .

The Wyja has its source about 80 km northeast of Schenkursk . It flows south first, then curves east and north, and finally turns east. After 181 km it reaches the Pinega. The catchment area of ​​the Wyja covers 2710 km².

The main tributaries of Vyya River are, from right Tschurowa and Pyschega and Tinewa from the left.
