The Wynyard Court House is the courthouse in the small town of Wynyard in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan . The building, built in 1927/28 based on a design by the then provincial master builder Maurice Sharon, has been a listed building since 2002 .

The courthouse was built in the course of a reform of the administration of justice carried out in the province that became independent in 1905 in the 1920s, and which provided for the establishment of a number of new judicial districts . The Sharon commissioned with the construction of the ten associated judicial buildings designed the Yorkton courthouse , just like the public buildings customarily built in the region at the time in the Beaux Arts style . For the following nine others, however, he opted for the Colonial Revival style . The courthouses in Kerrobert , Prince Albert , Weyburn and Estevan were built in a larger version , in Gravelbourg , Shaunavon , Melfort , Assiniboia and also that in Wynyard in a standardized, smaller version.

The two-story building was built from red bricks . Its hipped roof with a roof cornice made of metal is crowned by a central wooden roof turret, it is used for ventilation. The south-facing entrance is adorned by a portal painted in white , consisting of two upstream pillars that support a small, protruding balcony . The provincial court has its seat in the Court House, the only courtroom is on the upper floor.
