Wytse Hette Keulen (* 1968 ) is a Dutch classical philologist .

Life

From 1986 to 1993 he studied Classical Philology at the University of Groningen . He completed his legal clerkship as a grammar school teacher from 1993 to 1994. He worked on the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae from 1994 to 1997 as a scholarship holder. From 1997 to 2002 he was a research fellow at the University of Groningen and member of the research group Groningen Commentaries on Apuleius , where he received his doctorate in 2003 . In 2004 he was teaching at the University of Amsterdam . From 2004 to 2007 he was a research fellow at the University of Groningen in the research project The Latin Sophistic. Constructions of the Intellectual in Antonine Rome . He conducted research at Corpus Christi College in Oxford from 2001 to 2002 and 2007. As a guest lecturer at the University of Rostock , he taught from 2008 to 2009 within the framework of the DAAD guest lecturer program for the support of foreign guest lecturers for teaching activities at German universities. After her habilitation in 2009 at the University of Rostock, Wytse Hette Keulen was a lecturer at the University of Rostock and the University of Potsdam in the 2009/2010 winter semester . In the summer semester of 2010 he took over from Fritz-Heiner Mutschler's chair at the Technical University of Dresden . From 2010 to 2011 and 2012 to 2013 he was a research assistant at the University of Rostock as a project leader in the DFG project Continuity and Change in the 'Isis Book' of Apuleius (Met. XI): A transdisciplinary development of the religious conclusion of the metamorphoses . From 2011 to 2012 he represented Dennis Pausch as a research assistant at the University of Giessen . Keulen was a lecturer at the University of Potsdam in the 2013/2014 winter semester . From 2014 to 2015 he was a lecturer at the University of Rostock. In 2015 he was a research associate in the Viri Illustres project in collaboration with Christiane Reitz and Detlev Wannagat . From the summer semester 2016 to 2017 he represented Stephan Heilen on the chair at the University of Osnabrück , and from 2017 to 2018 Professor Jan Felix Gaertner at the University of Cologne . Since October 2018 he has been working on the DFG- funded research project Scriptae imagines: Fronto's correspondence as dialogue and portrayal at the University of Göttingen .
