Javier Oliva González (born May 29, 1976 in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat ) is a Spanish football goalkeeper . He played between 2009 and 2011 for Villarreal in the Primera División , the top Spanish division.

Career

Oliva started his career in the Espanyol Barcelona B team . In 1994 he returned to his hometown L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and played there with the local CE, from whom he was awarded to Roda Bará in the 1995/96 season, but returned immediately. After another season at home, the goalkeeper moved to the second team of Valencia CF in 1997 before going to Terrassa FC . The Wandervogel signed a year later with Recreativo Huelva before he left for Gimnàstic de Tarragona .

With the CD Castellón in 2002 Oliva found the club he was loyal to for seven years. After a few years in the Segunda or Tercera División, as a 34-year-old in 2009 he received the offer from Villarreal CF from the Primera División, which he accepted. He was signed as a substitute goalkeeper. As a result, he made his debut at European club level on November 5, 2009. In the home game against Lazio Rome during the group stage, Oliva came on in the 52nd minute for goalkeeper Diego López . The game was won 4-1.
