Xavier Charles René Rohart (born July 1, 1968 in Thionville ) is a French sailor .
successes
Xavier Rohart took part in five Olympic Games . First, he raced in the boat class Finn dinghy in which he in 1992 in Barcelona the seventh and in 2000 in Sydney finished fifth. He then moved into the class of boat Star and was in 2004 in Athens with Pascal Rambeau once third. With 54 points, they won the bronze medal behind the Brazilian and Canadian boats. Four years later in Beijing the two finished sixth. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London he started with Pierre-Alexis Ponsot and finished the regatta with him in ninth place.
At world championships , Rohart won a total of seven medals, two in the Finn dinghy and five in the star boat. In 1997 and 1998 he won the bronze medal in the Finn dinghy, in the star boat he won the title in Cádiz in 2003 and in Buenos Aires in 2005 . In 2015 he was also European champion in the Starboot.
He is married and has two children.
