Xin'an

Xin'an County ( Chinese 新安县 , Pinyin Xīn'ān Xiàn ), which belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Luoyang , is located in the Chinese province of Henan . Xin'an has an area of 1,160 km² and a population of 490,000. Its main town is the large community of Chengguan (城关镇).

Hangu pass

The stone carvings in the Qiantangzhizhai (Qiantangzhizhai shike 千唐志斋石刻), the "building of the thousand epitaphs from the Tang Dynasty", have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (4-197) since 1996 .

The archaeological site around the gate at Hangu Pass (Hanguguan) is part of the UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Site titled Silk Roads: The Road Network of the Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor .
