Xu Wenlong ( Chinese  许文龙 , Pinyin Xǔ Wénlóng ; born February 27, 1987 in Harbin , Heilongjiang ) is a Chinese cross-country skier .

Career

Xu ran his first World Cup race in February 2007 in Changchun , which he finished with 36th place in the sprint . A day later he got his first World Cup points with the 23rd place in the 15 km freestyle. His best placement at the 2009 Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec was 47th in the 50 km mass start race. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he finished 68th in the 15 km freestyle and 19th in the team sprint. In January 2011 he won the Vasaloppet China . His best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme were 53rd place in the 50 km mass start race and 22nd place in the team sprint. He finished the Tour de Ski 2013/14 in 49th place overall. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he reached 60th place in the 50 km mass start race and 58th place in the 30 km skiathlon.
