Yalan Sevdan (tr. For: "False love" ) is the first extended play by the Turkish singer Demet Akalın . It is named after the song of the same name and was released on June 13, 2000.
Origin and content
Akalın began work on her first EP four years after releasing her debut album Sebebim in 1996. The album was recorded in the Sound Academy studio in Istanbul. She received support a. by producers and songwriters Faruk Kurukaya and Ümit Sayın. For the song Senin Anan Güzel mi? Kurukaya wrote the lyrics and was involved in its production. Ümit Sayın produced the song Yalan Sevdan , after which the album was named, and created the accompanying lyrics.
The album in small format contains seven songs and has a running time of 36 minutes and 27 seconds. In addition to the lead single Senin Anan Güzel mi? and the second track, Yalan Sevdan , the EP contains a radio mix version and a club mix version of both songs. These remix versions are from DJ Bayülken. The seventh track, entitled CD Extra Expansion Double Club DJ Mix, is a mixed version of both songs.
In the two main tracks Senin Anan Güzel mi? and Yalan Sevdan Akalın sings on subjects such as feelings, expectations, being in love, hope and pain. The lead single Senin Anan Güzel mi? was released on June 20, 2000 as a single. Akalın's partner at the time İbrahim Kutluay had a guest appearance in the music video .
