Aşk (tr. For: "love" ) is Demet Akalın's second extended play . The EP was released on May 24, 2011 by the Seyhan Müzik label and is named after the song of the same name.

Content and reception

The EP contains six songs and has a running time of 25 minutes and 29 seconds. Akalın recorded a second version of the lead single Aşk together with Erdem Kınay . The last song with the title Yanan Ateşi Söndürdük already appeared as a club version on the collaboration album of the same name by Akalın and Fettah Can .

Demet Akalın spoke about the album's content in a later interview: “I worked on and for the album, but I had no intention of completely writing it. A few songs from my previous studio album Zirve from 2010 made it into the top ten charts. I had divided the album into slow hits and dance hits. I wanted to create a compiled video from the slow hits. [...] When I recorded the song “Bende Özledim” and presented it to the public for the first time, it received positive reviews and reactions from critics and fans. So I included this song in my new mini-album. "Deliyim", which I produced with David Şaboy, was also rated positively. "
