Dans Et (tr. For: "dancing" ) is the fifth studio album by Demet Akalın . It was released on March 1, 2008 and is named after the song of the same name. The album was mainly produced by Ersay Üner; the singer Sezen Aksu and the French singer Enrico Macias wrote the lyrics for one song each.
The album became a great success after its release and was able to reach high placements in the Turkish album charts. Like the previous album Kusursuz 19 , Dans Et was also awarded a gold record in Turkey.
Five of a total of fourteen songs, Mucize , Bebek , Selam Söyle , Gururum and Dans Et , were released as single releases. The most successful release was the song Mucize , which reached first place in the Turkish charts.

The album contains the song Gölge Etme written by Sezen Aksu and Selam Söyle , which was composed and recorded by Enrico Macias. The individual songs mainly deal with topics such as feelings, thoughts and relationships. The latter is particularly evident in the pieces Mucize and Gölge Etme . Dans Et contains a total of twelve songs and two remix versions of the songs Dans Et and Mucize . The majority of the album consists mainly of dance, electronic and pop music, with Çekmilyor and Geç Kalmadın Mı? when soft pop ballads were produced.
The remix version of the song Dans Et includes audition recordings of “Lick It” performed by 20 Fingers and Roula.
Singles
- Mucize
The song Mucize (tr. For: "Miracle" ) is the first promo single of the album and was released on March 18, 2008 in Turkey. After its release, it reached first place in the Turkish top 20 charts and for seven weeks number 83 in the Euro airplay charts. Some radio stations like PowerTürk FM and Radyo D voted Mucize their number one hit.
- Bebek
Bebek (tr. For: " Bebek " ) is the second single from the album and was released on June 7th. It reached 17th place in the Turkish charts. The song achieved higher positions in the radio charts on numerous Turkish radio stations. The music video was shot in the Bebek district of the same name in Istanbul and released on June 10, 2008.
- Selam Soyle
The third promo single from the album was released with Selam Söyle (tr. For "Grüß them" ). The song was able to place itself at number 18 in the Turkish top 20 charts. Was produced Selam Söyle of Ersay Üner. The text for the song was written by the Turkish producer Ülkü Aker and the French chansonnier Enrico Macias composed the music.
- Gururum
Gururum (tr. For: "My pride" ) was released on November 4th, 2008 as the fourth release. The producer Emirkan wrote the lyrics and composed the music.
- Dans Et
With Dans Et (tr. For: "Tanze!" ) The fifth and final single from the album was released. The song, with the same name as the album title, has a running time of 4 minutes and 49 seconds. The music video was directed by Süleyman Demirel. Approx. 42 people were involved in the creation of the video, which was shot in Italy. The music video was released on February 2, 2009.
