The Yar is a coastal river in France that runs in the Brittany region . It rises in the Armorique Regional Nature Park in the municipality of Guerlesquin west of the hamlet of Quignec , drains with a few changes of direction generally in a northerly direction and flows into the English Channel after 20 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Plestin-les-Grèves and Tréduder in the Grève de Saint-Michel bay . On its way, the Yar crosses the Finistère and Côtes-d'Armor departments .
