Yasir Ali Butt (born July 3, 1988 in Lahore ) is a former Pakistani squash player .

Career

Yasir Butt started his professional career in 2003, winning a tournament on the PSA World Tour . He was also in nine other finals. He already achieved great success in the juniors. In 2004 he was in the final of the Junior World Championships in Islamabad against the Egyptian Ramy Ashour , but clearly lost this encounter with 5: 9, 8:10 and 3: 9.

He reached his highest place in the world rankings with rank 40 in July 2008. With the Pakistani national team he took part in 2007 , 2009 and 2011 world championships. In addition, he won the gold medal with this at the 2010 Asian Games . He was only able to qualify for a world championship in 2009 . In the first round he was eliminated from Thierry Lincou 3-0. He played his last professional tournament in May 2016.
