Yerington is the administrative seat of Lyon County in the US state of Nevada . In 2017, the city of Yerington estimated the population to be 3,176. The city is named after Henry Marvin Yerington († 1910), who was superintendent of the Virginia and Truckee Railroad between 1868 and 1910 .
Yerington owns three parks, Mountain View Park , Soroptomist Park and the Veteran Park . Yerington also has its own airport.
