You Get Me is an American thriller from the year 2017 . The film tells the story of high school student Tyler Hanson (played by Taylor John Smith), who begins an affair with new student Holly (played by Bella Thorne ), who is determined to win him over. The film was shown at the LA Film Festival in the United States on June 19, 2017 . The film was released on Netflix on June 23, 2017 , while in Germany it was available on Amazon Prime Instant Video from October 26, 2017 .

Tyler Hanson is a 17-year-old high school student who recently started dating his girlfriend, Alison Hewitt. One evening they go to a party with their friends Gil and Lydia. There Tyler meets Chase, who turns out to be Alison's ex-boyfriend. So he discovered that before she moved to Los Angeles, Alison was a constantly drunk teenager who slept with everyone. When Tyler confronts her, they quarrel and the two split up. Just as he is about to leave the party, he meets Holly Viola. They go to party together and then have sex. They spend the rest of the weekend in Holly's huge house. Holly tells Tyler that her father has died and that her stepmother travels a lot. Tyler says the weekend was special.
A few days later, Tyler gets back together with Alison. At school he meets Holly again, who becomes friends with the others, much to Tyler's chagrin. He tries to talk to Holly, but fails every time. Over time, Lydia begins to question Holly's stories as she can't find anything about her on social media. Holly takes every opportunity to make Tyler jealous. She happened to show Alison a picture of the naked Tyler and flirted with Gil, who fell in love with Holly. One evening, Tyler tells Gil about his past with Holly.
Holly shows up at Tyler's unannounced and befriends his sister. Tyler learns from Holly's stepmother Corinne that Holly is on medication. When Holly learns that Lydia is investigating her, she deliberately gives her a smoothie, which causes Lydia to have an allergic reaction and brings her to the hospital. Tyler realizes that Holly is a danger to him and Alison.
One day, Holly tells Alison that she is pregnant and has no contact with the child's father. When Tyler finds out, he confronts her. Holly admits that she will do anything to make the two get together. When she tries to snuggle up to Tyler, he pushes her away, and Holly injures herself. Holly visits Alison and tells her the full story before Tyler can explain everything to her. Tyler and Alison meet on the beach. He's telling her the truth, and Alison says she never wants to talk to him again. Tyler finds out that Holly's real first name is Elizabeth. He researches her and discovers that she attacked a student at her former school because of her boyfriend and spent a while in a psychiatric institution. That same night, Alison is kidnapped by Holly. When Alison doesn't respond to Tyler's texts, he begins to suspect Holly. He meets Gil at Holly's house. When Alison wakes up, she notices that she has been handcuffed. Holly tells her that she is not pregnant at all and that Alison has to get out of Tyler's life. When Corinne comes home and tries to free the tied Alison, Holly suffocates her with a plastic bag.
When Tyler arrives, he is already expected by Holly, who wants to recreate the weekend from back then. He goes looking for Alison and finds her injured. Together they try to escape from Holly's house, but are stopped by her. With her gun drawn, she tells Tyler to leave Alison. This confesses his love to Alison. At that moment, Gil shows up, and Holly is distracted and accidentally shoots Tyler. At the moment when she also wants to shoot Gil, Alison knocks her out with a stab in the side. Tyler survives and Holly is evacuated. The film ends with Tyler's sister's birthday party where Tyler, Alison, and Lydia have fun.
