Your Demise was a British hardcore punk band whose members live in St Albans , Brighton and Salisbury . They recorded their album The Kids We Used To Be on the English label Visible Noise Records . In 2013 the group announced that it would split up after a farewell tour. In March 2014 the group will play their last four concerts in the UK . There is also a melodic punk rock band of the same name from Hobart, Australia.
Band history
The five-piece band started their career in 2003 as a cover band for the California hardcore group Suicidal Tendencies . In September 2008 they announced that they had signed a contract with the Visible Noise label . They then recorded their album Ignorance Never Dies at Outhouse Studios in Reading , which was released in April of the following year.
On July 15, 2009 they announced that the previous frontman George Noble would leave the band. A replacement was found in Ed McRae, who was previously active as a shouter with the band Centurion .
In mid-April 2013, the band announced their breakup for March next year, as the band members want to start a new phase of life, among other things. A planned tour through North America with Rotting Out and Expire , which should take place in May, the band then canceled at short notice. The band announced a final tour for which more information will follow. Further appearances, like in June at the annual With Full Force in Löbnitz , do not seem to be affected by a cancellation for the time being.
The band announced that they would break up after a farewell tour, the last concerts of which will take place in March 2014. The tour is currently stopping in Germany , the Netherlands , Belgium and Portugal . Your Demise will be accompanied by Betrayal and Coldburn .
On June 18, 2014, the musicians decided to team up with former singer George Noble for one last tour of the UK and perform under the band name Your Demise 2004 . On this tour only the tracks from the EPs, demos and the band's first two albums should be played. A CD called A New Ending can also be pre-ordered, which will contain songs from The Blood Stays on the Blade and six previously unreleased B-sides. The tour is called A New Ending - Farewell Tour .
