Coldburn is a hardcore punk band from Leipzig, founded in 2009 .
history
Coldburn was founded in 2009 in Leipzig, Saxony . A demo tape was released in 2010, followed by the Hybris EP in 2011 .
On November 30th 2012 the debut album The Harsh Fangs Of Life was released via BDHW , the distribution of which is organized by Soulfood Distribution .
In April the group played a European tour with Brutality Will Prevail and Survival , which included Italy , France , Switzerland , Poland , Austria , the Netherlands and Germany. Immediately afterwards, Coldburn played with Born from Pain , All for Nothing and Cornered on the Change or Die Tour . The group has already appeared on individual appearances with The Blackout Argument , Blindside , Bane and No Turning Back . In October 2013, the group toured with Betrayal as the opening act on Your Demise's farewell tour , which included Belgium , the Netherlands , Portugal and Germany .
In December 2013, the group played on several shows with War from a Harlots Mouth as part of their farewell tour. Between February 7, 2014 and March 1, 2014, the group played another European concert tour as the opening act for Expire from the United States . The group completed the tour at the Excellence House in Trier with Being as an Ocean , Hundredth , Counterparts , Polar , Choking on Illusions and Seasons in Wreckage . The reason was that several concert tours crossed in Trier that day. Between April 14 and 19, 2014, the band played a concert tour through Spain and Portugal . The concert tour included six performances. On August 16, 2014 the group played as part of the Outspoken Fest, which was organized for the first time by Outspoken Magazine , together with bands such as Evergreen Terrace , Brutality Will Prevail , Landscapes , Rise of the Northstar and Deez Nuts in Cologne .
The musicians planned to release their second album later in 2014. Ultimately, the second album, which is called Down In the Dumps , was released on March 5th, 2015. The musicians announced in early May that they would be writing new pieces. On September 26, 2014, the group started their first tour of the UK as the opening act for Madball . This concert tour ended after seven appearances on October 2, 2014 in Manchester . Between March 6 and 28, 2015, the group will tour together with Nasty , Desolated , Cruel Hand and Lionheart as part of the Taste of Anarchy Tour through Germany , Belgium , the Czech Republic , the Netherlands , Poland , Croatia , Austria , Switzerland and France .
On January 22nd, 2015 the band released a music video for the piece Ligering Death , which can be found on the second album.
style
Coldburn plays traditional old school hardcore punk . Several media compare the band's sound with groups from the New York scene. In particular, Hatebreed , Cro-Mags , Terror , Agnostic Front and Trapped Under Ice are mentioned as musical influences.
