Brutality Will Prevail is a hardcore punk / metalcore band from the United Kingdom founded in 2005 .
history
After several line-up changes in recent years, the British metalcore band consists of front singer Louis Gauthier, the two guitarists Ash Gray and Nick Six, bassist Jordan Murray and drummer Craig Reynolds.
In their career so far, the formation has already released four studio albums. The latest album is entitled Suspension of Consciousness and was released worldwide on April 7, 2014 via Siege of Amida Records and Century Media . It was recorded at Monnow Valley Studios , where Led Zeppelin , Queen and Black Sabbath also recorded earlier works. Also was the production work Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou involved. The other three albums are called Forgotten Souls (2009), Root of All Evil (2010) and Scatter the Ashes (2012). In addition, several EPs and split CDs are part of the band's official discography.
The group has toured the UK , Australia and Europe several times . The group was supported by groups such as Cancer Bats , The Acacia Strain or Coldburn . On their numerous tours, the band has also been to several music festivals such as the Serengeti Festival , the Impericon Festival , the Mair1 Festival and the Hevy Music Festival .
controversy
On December 30, 2012, the group announced the departure of their previous front singer Ajay Jones, which justified it with the increasing time pressure of the musicians and the other interests of the singer outside the band. Jones later referred to the band on the official Tumblr account as "for-profit garbage". At the beginning of 2013, the group apologized in a lengthy message to fans who had ordered goods on the official merchandising page on Bigcartel and these had not been sent for a long time. The reason was that the shot Jones managed the site for a long time after being kicked out of the group.
style
On Blabbermouth.net the music style was described as a mix of Slayer , Slipknot , Baroness and Cave In . An article in UK magazine Rock Sound said Pink Floyd and Machine Head were other musical influences on the band.
